Context and goals
Founded in Zurich in 1924, the Vontobel Group is a private bank with Swiss roots and an international focus Specialized in investment banking and asset management for private and institutional clients, Vontobel has an office in Italy since 2003.
The goal of public relations for Bank Vontobel is to strengthen the authoritative image of the bank, promote the name of Bank Vontobel among the target audiences, and maintain a high level of trust among institutional and private clients as well as institutions through a correct brand positioning strategy.

Working on the institutional and product communication for the Asset Management division, Now!PR designed a strategy to enhance the bank’s “Swissness” and at the same time show the results of the Asset Management products in an effort to build more and more trust through ‘facts’.
The communication strategy expanded to lifestyle areas with the recent launch of the Vontobel initiative for the Arts.

By focusing on institutional authoritativeness and product reliability, Now!PR implemented communication actions that leverage the ability of strategic spokespersons to comment on the most varied market scenarios and present key asset management products. This created a virtuous circle of trust with specialist, sector and general press as well as the final audiences.

The PR activities generate about 40 reports per month, including market scenario interviews, lifestyle news, fund trends, product news or exclusive previews.

Thanks also to this visibility, the Swiss financial institution significantly increased the brand awareness among its target audiences in Italy: the bank recorded a 22% increase in net profit (figure: December 2009).
